About Bobek Hop Leaf Hops
Bobek hops originate from Slovenia and are closely associated with the Styrian hop-growing region. Developed as part of efforts to improve disease resistance and yield, Bobek has become a staple in European brewing thanks to its consistency and traditional character.
It shares many characteristics with Styrian Goldings, offering a delicate balance of floral, herbal, and lightly spicy notes. Its relatively low alpha acid content makes it particularly suited to late boil and aroma additions, where it enhances flavour without overwhelming bitterness.
Bobek is widely used in continental lagers and Belgian-style beers, where subtlety and balance are key.
